Venturini Motorsports will field two Menards-sponsored Toyotas for drivers Frank Kimmel and Brandon Jones in the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Kimmel and Jones entered the 2015 ARCA Racing Series season scheduled to split Venturini’s flagship No. 25 Menards Toyota 10 races apiece.
At Talladega, Jones will pilot the No. 25 car (as originally scheduled) with sponsorship being provided by Menards and Tide while Kimmel, a 10-time series champion, will compete in a No. 15 Venturini entry that will be sponsored by Menards and 101 Ranch Records – giving Kimmel 11 starts for the year.
“I really want to thank Billy [Venturini, team co-owner] and all the sponsors for putting this deal together and giving me another race in one of the Venturini cars,” Kimmel said of his Talladega deal. “As a team, Venturini Motorsports had really fast cars at Daytona. Cody [Coughlin] ran really strong, and although Brandon wasn’t in that race, Daniel Suárez was and we all had a shot to win.
“I think Brandon and Cody are are both great young men and I can’t wait to get out there and work with them.”
Kimmel will make his 23rd ARCA start at Talladega next week and will be going for his third series victory at the track.
Jones and Coughlin (who will race the team’s No. 55 car) will respectively make their Talladega series debuts in next week’s 76-lap race.
Before reaching the high banks of Talladega, Venturini Motorsports will compete in the Federated Auto Parts 200 at Salem Speedway with drivers Jones in the No. 25, Dominic Ursetta in the No. 55 and Kimmel’s son, Frankie, in the No. 15 car.
