CHINA GROVE, N.C. — NASCAR K&N Pro Series East veteran Brandon Gdovic has received his call-up to NASCAR’s national level as he will make his XFINITY Series debut with Viva Motorsports in Friday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
The Yorktown, Va. native will pilot Viva’s No. 55 Chevrolet Camaro for this upcoming weekend’s race with sponsorship for the ride being provided by WindStax.
The 23-year-old one-time race winner in the K&N East ranks has 47 starts in the series with his lone series victory coming at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in 2013 in a family-owned car.
Gdovic will be the third driver to make a start in the No. 55 Viva Motorsports entry this year. Through five XFINITY races this year, Jeffrey Earnhardt has three starts to his credit with team owner Jamie Dick piloting the No. 55 car in the other two starts.
The No. 55 car currently sits 27th in the owners standings with a best finish of 16th being turned in by Earnhardt in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
