PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Lira Motorsports and John Lowinski-Loh have announced that they will partner together to race in next week’s Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway.

Milford, Massachusetts’s Lowinski-Loh, 23, will pilot the team’s No. 58 Gary Yeoman’s Ford Fusion in the ARCA Racing Series’s season opener.

Lowinski-Loh will make his Daytona debut in next week’s 80-lap race. He has one ARCA race of experience under his belt in last year’s season-closer at Kansas Speedway with Team BCR in a collaboration that resulted in a 10th-place finish.

In December, Lowinski-Loh tested at Daytona with Team BCR in the team’s No. 88 Ford, running times consistently in the top-12 of the speed chart.

Lowinski-Loh brings several years of experience in both modified and late models to the upstart Lira Motorsports program.

In 2011, Lowinski-Loh claimed rookie of the year honors in modifieds at Thompson Speedway and claimed the circuit’s track championship the following year.

In 2013, Thompson’s 2012 track champion in its modified division moved to the ACT Late Model division and claimed the series’s rookie of the year title before returning to Thompson and Waterford Speedbowl to compete for the track championships in a late model in 2014.

Lowinski-Loh’s deal currently stands for just the Lucas Oil 200, but both himself and Lira Motorsports are in the search for sponsors for more potential starts together.
