Joey Logano Fastest In NASCAR XFINITY Series Practice At Atlanta Motor Speedway

HAMPTON, Ga. – Last weekend’s Daytona 500 winner, Joey Logano dominated both practice sessions for the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Friday.

First Practice

During the first practice session, Logano set the fastest time with a lap of 30.327 seconds at 182.807 mph. Ty Dillon clocked the second fastest time, followed by Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth and Erik Jones.

Roush Fenway Racing’s Darrell Wallace Jr. was the only driver to run 10 consecutive laps. His best 10 consecutive lap average speed was 174.219 mph.

Only 27 cars participated in the first practice session.

Final Practice

In final practice, Joey Logano’s chart topping lap was 30.444 seconds at 182.105 mph. Brendan Gaughan jumped up to second fastest, followed by Paul Menard, Daniel Suarez and Chase Elliott.

Joey Logano also had the best 10 consecutive lap average with a speed of 179.306 mph. Matt Kenseth was second with an average speed of 178.903 mph and Kevin Harvick was third with an average speed of 178.736 mph.

NASCAR XFINITY Series Coors Light Pole Qualifying will be live on FOX Sports 1 at 9:10 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, followed by the Hisense 250 at 2 p.m. ET, also on Fox Sports 1.
