MOORESVILLE, N.C. — David Starr will remain a driver for TriStar Motorsports for three more years after announcing that he has signed a multi-year extension with the team on Tuesday afternoon.

Starr, a former race winner in the Camping World Truck Series, will run his first full-time season in the XFINITY Series in 2015 with TriStar and will do so in 2016 and 2017 as well.

The 47-year-old out of Houston, Texas, competed in 13 races for TriStar Motorsports last season in the No. 10 and No. 44 Toyotas, earning one top-10 and three top-15 finishes during his partial schedule with the team.

This year, Starr will drive the No. 44 Toyota full-time with primary sponsorship being provided by Zachry Group.

“Words cannot express how excited I am to partner up with Zachry Group for the next three seasons in the NASCAR XFINITY Series,” Starr said. “It will be an honor and privilege to represent a company with such integrity and commitment to their customers, employees and communities where we work.”

Starr will join fellow drivers Cale Conley and Blake Koch as TriStar’s full-time drivers for their 2015 effort. Also racing for the team this season albeit in a part-time effort will be Mike Bliss.

“We are looking forward to having David back behind the wheel of one of TriStar Motorsports Toyota Camrys in 2015,” Mark Smith, TriStar Motorsports team owner, said. “David will be an instrumental part in the continued growth of our team.”
