STATESVILLE, N.C. — Spencer Gallagher and GMS Racing have officially announced that they will run full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2015.

Las Vegas’s Gallagher, 25, will pilot the team’s No. 23 Chevrolet Silverado with sponsorship coming from Allegiant Travel for the entirety of the 23-race schedule.

Jeff Stankiewicz, 2014 crew chief for Joey Coulter’s No. 21 GMS Racing truck, will move over to the No. 23 team as crew chief for the upcoming season.

In another change within the GMS organization, Gallagher will be joined by Brandon Jones, who will be running a No. 33 Chevrolet, as a teammate for 16 races this season.

“A full season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for GMS Racing is something I have been looking forward to for a long time,” Gallagher said. “We all made a lot of progress and noise throughout 2014.

“I cannot wait to be behind the wheel for all 23 events. I know Brandon and I have the equipment and personnel behind us to go race for wins.”

In 12 career starts in the Camping World Truck Series, Gallagher has a single top-five/top-10 to his credit – a third-place finish in the 2014 Fred’s 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Gallagher is also a veteran of the ARCA Racing Series, scoring nine top-fives, 20 top-10s, and a lone victory at Kansas Speedway in his most recent start – his 51st – in the series.

Gallagher is not expected to make any starts in the ARCA Racing Series in 2015 as he will direct his focus towards winning the 2015 Camping World Truck Series drivers’ championship.

In a statement released on gmsracing.net, GMS Racing’s Team Manager, Nic Moncher, voiced his excitement on moving Gallagher up to a full-time schedule with the team after just over two years of service with the organization.

“Spencer Gallagher is going to be someone to keep an eye on in 2015”, Moncher said. “As we have all watched him progress over the last few years. We are excited to take on a full season with him and know he will succeed.

“Spencer brings a certain level of enthusiasm to the garage area that is infectious to all of our guys; it’s a great benefit for our team to have him in the truck.”
