MOORESVILLE, N.C. — NASCAR All-American Series standout Will Carroll has joined Team BCR for a part-time schedule in the ARCA Racing Series in 2015.

Carroll, a native of Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia, will get a taste of the ARCA Racing Series with a planned part-time schedule in 2015 that will lead into a full 2016 schedule when he will compete for both the series championship and for Rookie of the Year honors.

The 19-year-old’s move to American stock car racing in early-2014 proved to be a great success as he claimed this year’s track championship at New Smyrna Speedway in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Pro Late Model Series.

Prior to jumping over to the United States, Carroll amassed a successful racing record in Australia where he collected the 2012 Speedway Victoria Drivers Championship in a Formula 500 car and the 2013 SRA Rookie of the Year while driving sprint cars.

Carroll will drive a No. 88 Ford Fusion for Team BCR and will join six-time ARCA race winner Brennan Poole as a teammate.

Team BCR’s Team Manager, Howard Bixman, spoke on the addition of Carroll to the team’s ARCA effort.

“Team BCR is excited and proud to welcome Will to the team,” Bixman stated. “We’ve been working with Will over the last few years, where he has developed into a NASCAR Champion driving for Anthony Campi Racing (ACR 81).

“The next step in his career is the ARCA Racing Series, where this developmental driver will be competing at tracks such as Daytona International Speedway to the historic Salem Speedway. We are looking forward to being a part of this two-year development program with Will to further his career into the top ranks of NASCAR.”

Full sponsorship for Carroll’s racing effort and his season schedule will be released at a later date. Poole is currently scheduled to run a minimum of 10 races for Team BCR with the potential to run a full season being there should the team secure sponsorship for the entire year.

Carroll and Poole are currently the only drivers scheduled to race for Team BCR in 2015. The organization hope to follow up their strong effort from the 2014 season that featured the team going to victory lane on five occasions – four times with Grant Enfinger and once with Justin Allison.
