ASHEBORO, N.C. — Carter 2 Motorsports has revealed that former NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers Donnie Neuenberger and Bobby Hamilton Jr. will race for them in the 2015 ARCA Racing Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Neuenberger, a veteran of 40 Nationwide Series races across 12 years, will race for Carter 2 Motorsports in a No. 40 Toyota Camry. Neuenberger previously raced for Carter 2 Motorsports at Talladega in both 2012 and in 2014.

“I am excited to have Donnie driving our best car at Daytona,” team owner Roger Carter says of Neuenberger. “He is a great guy that has helped us out before and we believe he can put us in victory lane.”

Hamilton Jr., a four-time race winner in the Nationwide Series, will make his return to the ARCA Racing Series after a 15-year hiatus in next year’s season opener in a No. 97 Dodge Charger that will be sponsored by Nitroforce Titan 1000.

“He is a great talent,” Carter says of Hamilton Jr. “Our deal (a deal to run full-time) with him fell apart last season, but now that we have a great sponsor like Nitroforce Industries that is new to the sport, we believe this provides a great opportunity for Bobby to run up front with us at Daytona.”

The deals for both drivers are believed to be one-race deals for Daytona at this time.

The sponsorship deal with Nitroforce Industries and their product, the Nitroforce Titan 1000, however, will extend past Daytona.

“We are excited to have Nitroforce onboard with us for Daytona and beyond,” Carter stated. “We feel we have the resources available to work together with them and help find outlets to sell their product, in addition to finding investors that will help the longevity of their company. Essentially, it is a ‘win-win’ situation for both of us through this partnership.”

In 2014’s Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona, Carter 2 Motorsports made the field with both their No. 40 and No. 97 entries – piloted respectively by Alx Danielsson and Tim Viens. In the 80-lap race, Danielsson finished in the 21st position while Viens finished right behind his teammate in 22nd.
