DOVER, Del. — Xxxtreme Motorsports is set to return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage with a new driver and a new moniker with them this weekend at Dover International Speedway.

The team, now called Team Xtreme, will attempt to race in their first event since the Toyota/Save Mart 350K at Sonoma three months ago.

Timmy Hill will pilot the No. 44 Phoenix Warehouse Chevrolet in the team’s return to the field at Dover, a track that the 21-year-old from Port Tobacco, Maryland, has two previous starts at.

The organization announced shortly after this year’s Sonoma race that they would be taking a brief hiatus from the sport to sort out issues revolving around in-house politics. The team would enter for races at Kentucky and Loudon shortly after Sonoma but would withdraw from both events prior to the race.

J.J. Yeley, the original driver of the No. 44 Chevrolet for the team, is still part of the Team Xtreme organization. Yeley is not in the No. 44 this weekend due to making an earlier commitment to Go FAS Racing as he will be in the No. 32 Ford for Dover.

With Yeley behind the wheel of their entry earlier in the year, the team raced in six events this year with a best finish of 34th coming at Sonoma.
