JOLIET, Ill. — Kyle Busch will lead the field to green on Sunday in the MyAFibStory.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway after rain washed out qualifying Friday evening.

With one practice session under their belt, the Sprint Cup Series field would be set by the speeds of that 90-minute opening session – placing the driver of the No. 18 M&Ms Toyota in position number one for Sunday’s race.

With that, Busch will have his third first-place starting position of the year. Following him to the green flag on Sunday in the top-10 will be Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Matt Kenseth, Clint Bowyer, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Paul Menard, and Kyle Larson.

Historically, starting from outside of the top-10 at this track has been the place to be if a driver is to win the race. Eight of the 13 races that have been held at Chicagoland Speedway have been won by a driver that started from outside of the top-10. The pole-sitter has only won at Chicagoland once with Busch winning from the pole in 2008.

With qualifying rained out, the on-track action for the Sprint Cup Series has wrapped up for Friday. Two practice sessions are on hand for tomorrow in preparation for the MyAFibStory.com 400 on Sunday. No rain is expected on either Saturday or Sunday.
