DOVER, Del. — Joey Logano claimed his second Coors Light Pole Award of the year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series by taking the pole position for today’s Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway.

Logano’s lap of 23.230 seconds provided the 21-time Nationwide Series race winner with his 25th career series pole and his fifth at Dover.

The driver of the No. 22 Hertz Ford would run 16-thousandths of a second quicker than Chase Elliott to claim the pole. Ty Dillon, Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Chris Buescher, Brian Scott, Regan Smith, Cale Conley, and Elliott Sadler would round out the top-10.

The first of two qualifying rounds would be the most frantic of the afternoon with drivers like Busch, Sadler, and Smith just eking their way into a transfer spot into the final round. Among the drivers missing out on advancing to Q2 would be James Buescher, Trevor Bayne, Aric Almirola, Ryan Reed, and Dylan Kwasniewski.

With an entry list of 42 drivers attempting to make today’s 200-lapper on the ‘Monster Mile’, two would be sent home after Q1 – Mike Harmon and Milka Duno.

One red flag would fly across both sessions. Josh Reaume would hit the frontstretch wall in Q1 in his No. 87 Chevrolet before turning a single lap, bringing out a lengthy red flag period.

The Dover 200 is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m EST; ESPN2 will carry television coverage of the 200-lap race while MRN and SiriusXM Satellite NASCAR Channel 90 will carry radio coverage of the event.
