NEWTON, Iowa. — The NASCAR Nationwide Series makes its second trip of the year to the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, for the US Cellular 250 – the 20th race of the year for the series.

39 drivers are entered for Saturday night’s 250-lap event. Sam Hornish Jr. (Joe Gibbs Racing) will be seeking a successful defense of his Iowa win from May in JGR’s No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota. Michael McDowell (Joe Gibbs Racing) will partner Hornish and JGR’s series regular, Elliott Sadler, in the No. 20 Pizza Ranch Toyota. McDowell is seeking his first career series win while Hornish will be looking to earn his fourth career series win.

JR Motorsports have submitted three drivers for entry for Saturday’s race. Joining Regan Smith and Chase Elliott will be Josh Berry, a late model racer for JR Motorsports. The 23-year-old from Hendersonville, Tennessee, will be looking to make his first career start in the Nationwide Series while behind the wheel of the No. 5 Tackle Grab Chevrolet.

RAB Racing will attempt to enter a second car this weekend as Kenny Wallace will join James Buescher in Iowa for the US Cellular 250. Wallace will drive the No. 29 US Cellular Toyota for RAB Racing and will attempt to make his first Nationwide Series start since last September’s Dollar General 300 at the Chicagoland Speedway.

With the Sprint Cup and Camping World Truck Series at the Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania this week, not many drivers will attempt to run a ‘double’ this week. Landon Cassill (JD Motorsports), Mike Bliss (TriStar Motorsports), Brad Keselowski (Team Penske), and Joe Nemechek (NEMCO-Jay Robinson Racing) are the four drivers attempting to run at both Iowa and Pocono this weekend.

With the national series being split between two tracks, Turner Scott Motorsports have entered Dylan Kwasniewski in the No. 42 Rockstar Energy Chevrolet this weekend while Chase Pistone will race in the No. 31 Chevrolet for the team. The No. 42’s regular driver, Kyle Larson, will run in the Camping World Truck Series event at Pocono for TSM.
