SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Round 15 of the ARCA Racing Series schedule takes the series to the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois, for next Sunday’s SuperChevyStores.com 100.

Sunday’s race will be the first of two dirt tracks on the schedule for the series this year, and while the 100-lap race will be the first dirt race of the season, the race itself has a long and rich history in the ARCA Racing Series. Next week’s event will be the 30th running of the SuperChevyStores.com 100 and will feature (as of August 10th) two former ISF winners – Frank Kimmel (Win-Tron Racing) and Brennan Poole (Venturini Motorsports.)

Other than Kimmel and Poole, 29 other drivers will be ready to go for the 100-mile event on the clay oval located in Springfield. Mason Mitchell (Mason Mitchell Motorsports) and Grant Enfinger (GMS Racing) will continue to fight for the points lead in the 15th of 20 races on the ARCA calendar. Mokena, Illinois’s Bob Strait (Venturini Motorsports) is also scheduled to make his return to the series in a Venturini Motorsports Chevrolet – this will be Strait’s first start in the ARCA Racing Series since 2012.

Karl Weber (Tony Blanchard Racing), after competing for Wayne Hixson for most of the season, will move to a Tony Blanchard-owned No. 50 Silveus Insurance Group Chevrolet for Sunday’s race.

All of the racing action is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 17th. A single one-hour practice session is scheduled for the 31 entrants prior to qualifying and the race itself taking place at 1:30 p.m CST.
