MADISON, Wisc. — For the second consecutive race for the ARCA Racing Series, Mother Nature decided to meddle with the series’ racing affairs as rain would wash out final practice and qualifying for the Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200.

With the 28 drivers entered for tomorrow’s racing unable to take a lap on the racing surface, the starting grid for tomorrow’s 200-lap race will be set by owner points – placing Mason Mitchell in the first starting position for the fourth race in a row.

After Saturday’s first practice session was halted six minutes before its scheduled end, track and ARCA crews would get to work to dry the racing surface of the half-mile asphalt oval off within a half hour after the conclusion of first practice. With the skies clearing and the crews making strong progress on the racing surface, ARCA officials would release an updated schedule that would have final practice running for 30 minutes starting at 4:30 p.m ET and qualifying commencing at 6:00 p.m. Heavy rains would return and thwart the officials’ plans to give the drivers more track time and thus the decision would be made shortly before 5:00 p.m to pull the plug on all racing activity for the rest of the night.

Joining Mitchell in the top-10 of the starting grid for tomorrow’s race will be Grant Enfinger, Frank Kimmel, Anderson Bowen, Matt Tifft, John Wes Townley, Austin Wayne Self, Justin Boston, Ben Rhodes, and Kenny Matthews. Rhodes and Mathews will be making their ARCA Racing Series debuts tomorrow.

Through 15 races this season, every single eventual race winner has started from within the top-10. The furthest back a race winner started this year was the ninth position when Mitchell won the Ansell ActivArmr 150 at Chicagoland from ninth.

In three races at Madison, the eventual race winner has never started from the front row, however, each winner would come from a top-seven starting position. Kyle Benjamin – the defending Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200 race winner – won last year from the third position. Benjamin will race with a family-owned team tomorrow and will thus start from the 27th position.

The race tomorrow will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network with coverage beginning at 2:00 p.m CT (3:00 p.m ET.)
