BRISTOL, Tenn. — Kyle Busch got his weekend in Bristol off on the right foot by claiming the Keystone Light Pole Award for tonight’s UNOH 200 at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

Busch claimed his fifth Camping World Truck Series pole of the season and the fifth of his career at Bristol with a lap of 15.392 seconds that was quick enough to beat out Cole Custer, Ron Hornaday Jr., Brad Keselowski, and Gray Gaulding for the top grid position. The 16-year-old Custer would come up just short of claiming his second pole award of the season by 22-thousandths of a second.

Rounding out the top-10 for tonight’s 200-lap race will be German Quiroga, Johnny Sauter, Darrell Wallace Jr., Ben Rhodes, and Brandon Jones.

With his pole-winning time, Busch earned his 41st career series pole and will start from the position that produced four winners in the UNOH 200’s 16-race history. The furthest back a Bristol Truck winner has come from on the starting grid is the 12th position when Travis Kvapil won the 200-lapper in 2003. Kvapil’s win from 11 years ago is the only instance of a Bristol winner starting from outside of the top-10.
