Buescher And Kenseth Lead Nationwide Practice At Atlanta

HAMPTON, Ga. – Chris Buescher led the way during NASCAR Nationwide Series first practice, followed by Matt Kenseth setting the fastest lap in final practice on Friday afternoon at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

First Practice:

Chris Buescher’s fast lap in first practice was 31.167 seconds at 177.880 mph. Matt Kenseth was second, with Ty Dillon third, Kyle Busch fourth and Joey Logano rounding out the top-five.

Matt Kenseth had the best 10 consecutive lap average with an average speed of 173.188 mph. Kevin Harvick had the second best 10 consecutive lap average with an average speed of 172.785 mph.

Final Practice:

In final practice, Matt Kenseth’s fastest lap was 31.192 seconds at 177.738 mph. Ty Dillon finished out the session in second, followed by Joey Logano, Chase Elliott and Chris Buescher.

Matt Kenseth also had the best 10 consecutive lap average with an average speed of 172.807 mph. Kyl Larson was just behind him with an average speed of 172.685 mph.

NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying will start at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday with coverage beginning at 4:00 p.m. EST on Fox Sports 2.

The Great Clips 300 to benefit Feed The Children will be live on ESPN 2 and the Performance Racing Network (PRN) tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. EST.
