DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A very healthy number of 45 entrants find themselves on the entry list for this Friday’s Subway Firecracker 250, the NASCAR Nationwide Series’ second trip to the Daytona International Speedway this season.

Regan Smith (JR Motorsports), the winner in February’s DRIVE4COPD 300, will lead a three car JR Motorsports entry into Daytona this week with Chase Elliott and Kasey Kahne joining Smith. Kahne, who must qualify into the race based on speed, is looking to make his second Nationwide Series start of the year.

Darrell Wallace Jr. (Joe Gibbs Racing) is also looking to make his second start of the year in the No. 20 Camry, however, Wallace is locked into the race by virtue of the No. 20 entry being safely within the top-30 of the Owners’ Standings.

The Biagi-Denbeste Racing team will be in action for the second week in a row with David Ragan piloting the No. 98 Mustang for this weekend’s race. Ragan is attempting to make his fourth start of the year and must qualify into the race based on speed like Kahne.
