Kyle Busch and his No. 51 Kyle Busch Motorsports team have been penalized for a rule infraction discovered during post-race tech inspection at Kentucky Speedway last Thursday night.

The No. 51 team violated Section 20B-12.8.1 which is a P2 level in the NASCAR rule book. Due to the truck failing to meet the UNOH 225 post-race height requirements, crew chief, Eric Phillips was fined $5,000, and Kyle Busch Motorsports’ owner, Kyle Busch was docked six championship truck owner points.

Busch led 91 laps on Thursday night during the UNOH 225 to earn his 40th career win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. It was his fifth victory in five starts this season.

Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 51 team continues to lead Mike Curb’s No. 98 truck driven by ThorSport Racing’s Johnny Sauter by 17 points in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner point standings.
