SPARTA, Ky. — For the third race in a row, all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers have raced their cars to top-10 finishes.

The strong result marks the fourth race this year that Hendrick have placed all of their drivers in the top-10 of a race. In comparison, the organization was only able to place all four of their drivers in the top-10 in one race in 2013 – the Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

While the four drivers had nothing for Penske drivers Joey Logano and eventual race winner Brad Keselowski, their strong form shows that they are still the team to beat as the race to the Chase begins to heat up. If the streak of consistency by the team hadn’t sent up a red flag for all of the other teams in the garage yet, it surely should have by now. The achievement by the Hendrick teams as a whole show that their program is a threat at a diverse selection of race tracks. Over the past three races, HMS drivers have finished in the top-10 at a two-mile superspeedway, a road course, and now at a mile-and-a-half speedway.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. led the way for his team with his fifth-place finish ahead of Jeff Gordon, who finished sixth. Kasey Kahne would finish eighth for his seventh top-10 finish of the year while Jimmie Johnson would bring up the rear of the HMS top-10 train in 10th. For Earnhardt and Kahne, their strength at Kentucky allowed both drivers to score their second top-10 finishes in their four-race careers at the mile-and-a-half oval. For Johnson and Gordon, both drivers are four-for-four when it comes to top-1o finishes at the circuit.

The Hendrick stable now turn their attention to next Saturday’s Coke Zero 400 at the Daytona International Speedway. Earnhardt claimed victory at the track in February where he claimed his second career Daytona 500 win.
