Darlington, S.C. – April 28, 2014 – The Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce is celebrating Independence Day at Darlington Raceway during the first-ever Freedom Fest. On Friday, July 4th from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the chamber invites the public to a festival like no other. Children will have a blast at the Kids Zone and car enthusiasts will enjoy browsing the cars on display as they “Cruise-In” to pit road. The local John Curtis Lewis band will be opening for country music stars Outshyne and the evening will be concluded with a magnificent fireworks display. No coolers will be allowed but merchant, food, and beverage vendors will be available. Admission is free to all.

“This event gives the Chamber and its sponsors the opportunity to show our appreciation for the community’s generous support throughout the year. Keeping the event free to the public and making it family friendly are my top priorities. I hope to see all of Darlington county and surrounding areas at the inaugural Freedom Fest,” remarked Hannah Stanley, Executive Director of the chamber.

For more information, visit or call Hannah Stanley at 843-393-2641. Sponsorship and vendor registration forms are available at the chamber office and online at the chamber’s website.
