Jones Finishes 8th in UARA Points

Jones Finishes 8th in UARA Points

by December 30, 2013 0 comments

Brandon Jones joined the UARA family in 2012 and showed much potential.  He returned in 2013 with hopes of a championship and more good all around racing experience.  His UARA season was cut short due to all the rain outs and rescheduling that the UARA had to go through due to Mother Nature and her persistent rainouts.

Jones ran consistently in the top twelve all year with the UARA but failed to gain another win to add to his statistics.  His best finish was fourth.  He achieved two of those, one at Lonesome Pine Raceway and the other at Caraway.  Jones has always proved to be a competitive driver that could put his machine in the lead pack with a chance to win at any given track.

Jones gained several awards during 2013.  Those included the Holley Performer of the Race, Pigwire Electrifying Moment of the Race, Circle Wheel Award (2), Tilton Award, JRI Shocks Award, WP Racing Shocks Award )2), DRP Performance Award (2) and Tri Star Racewear Award (3).

“The last two years competing in UARA has been challenging and rewarding for me. Even though this year I did not compete in the full UARA season due to also competing part time in NASCAR K&N series and three NASCAR Camping World Truck races, the competition and experience gained at UARA definitely helped me greatly in the other series. In 2014 I will be competing full time in the NASCAR K&N Series and another partial year in the NASCAR Camping World truck Series but I am hopeful I will able to continue to compete in some UARA races. I want to thank everyone associated with UARA including Wink, Kerry, the officials, the racers, and most importantly the fans for the experience in one of the most competitive racing series in the country”

Jones has used his time with the UARA to hone his skills as a driver with much accomplishments learning handling etc on different tracks.  His knowledge gained these past two years will be a benefit to him on his future career with NASCAR and we wish him all the best in the continuation of his racing career.

We will also look forward to his return visits with the UARA.

The UARA will take time to honor their top ten at the annual Banquet on January 11, 2014.
