Divisions that are eligible for the unique experience include the Mini Cups, Pure Stock Four Class (UCAR), Street Stocks and Chargers. The season points championship starts in May and runs through October and each driver will have one mulligan for the year in case they can’t attend a specific event.
“This is a chance for a lucky qualified approved driver to get behind the wheel of a high-horse powered late model racecar that he/she may not either have enough funds to drive on their own or if perhaps a driver is thinking about having a great experience driving a Late Model on the familiar DMS track,” track owner Ron Barfield said. “The Late Model division is our premier series, and we wanted to give our local drivers a chance to experience the thrill, and live the dream that have not driven a late model in 2013.”
Any driver in the support classes that competes in all the point races events will be eligible for the drawing on the front straight away the last points race on October 5th at the PASS South Wildcat 150 event. During that time on the frontstretch, names will be pulled out of a random drawing, and the lucky winner will have an all-expense paid weekend at the speedway as he/she competes in a Late Model during one of the biggest events of the season on October 18-20th weekend. This contest will be a knock out reverse drawing to entertain the fans at the track
“We were thinking of ways that we can reward the drivers who are dedicated to our facility week after week,” Ron Barfield said. “Not only will this be a dream drive for one of our locals, but it’ll help move the speedway forward for future promotions.”
The Current Ten Sill Eligible Drivers as of September 3rd include Chris Connor and Jessica Poland from the Mini Cup Class. Andy Norton, and Joshua Yeoman from the Pure Stock 4 Class. Justin Altman, Ricky Locklair Jr, and Kent Harper from the Street Stock Division. Trey Cutler, Troy Norton, and Brian Owens from the Charger Division. These names will be update if a drivers misses the event in the coming weeks.
