CALLAWAY, VA :: Anyone who purchases tickets to Friday night’s race at Motor Mile Speedway can use their ticket stub from that race to attend Saturday night’s races at Franklin County Speedway for half price ($5). The ticket offer is good on Saturday, August 3rd.

“We know that the fans in this region are hard core but we also know that times are tight,” said Promoter Langley Austin. “We want to make sure fans can attend both big nights of racing this weekend. So anyone who buys a ticket for Motor Mile Speedway on Friday night can get in for half price with us on Saturday night.

“$10 to get in Motor Mile and $5 with the discount to get in at Franklin County on Saturday is a great value for what is sure to be a great weekend of racing at both tracks.”

Saturday night’s SummerSlam at Franklin County Speedway has 10 feature events on the card, including a $500 to win “Any Car” race, a 50 lap Late Model race which will be the fourth and final leg of the “4-Crown Challenge”, the Southern Ground Pounders Vintage Racing Club and a Mini-Cup race where the bounty on Steve Teter, who remains undefeated on the season, has been increased to $150.

Along with the half-off ticket offer, there will again be a $25/carload deal in effect and this weekend’s special at the concession stands will be $1 corn dogs.

“Fans in this region are lucky to have several great facilities to enjoy short track racing at and we know they’ll get some of the best racing anywhere this weekend,” said Austin.  “We’re just glad to help make it possible for them to go to both events.”

Regular ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-10 and kids five and under admitted free.  The pit gates open at 1:30pm and the grandstands open at 3:30pm.  The race schedule can be viewed on the Moonshine Capital Promotions website.
