Dillon, S.C., March 4, 2013: Hayes Goodson, 18-year old from Darlington, S.C. will make his fourth Pro All-Star Series (PASS) Pro Late Model division appearance of his career on Saturday, March 9.

Goodson had quite an impressive performance record during the 2012 PASS Pro Late Model division season. He kicked off the season with a third place finish at Dillon Motor Speedway, followed by a fifth place finish at Hickory Motor Speedway. He ended the season at Concord Speedway with another top-three finish.

“Last year was a huge learning curve for me,” Hayes Goodson said. “My crew worked hard all season long with the PASS car and the Super Truck I competed in at Dillon Motor Speedway. We look to step up our game in 2013. I won’t settle for anything less than a win.”

Hayes Goodson has also found success at Dillon Motor Speedway. Throughout his short career, he has captured multiple wins in the Street Stock division. In 2012, Hayes beat his dad Hal Goodson, two-time NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro champion in multiple Super Truck events.

Two weekends ago, Hayes and the Goodson Motorsports crew unloaded and hit the banks of Dillon Motor Speedway for a pre-season test session.

“I was very comfortable with the car,” Hayes Goodson said. “Our lap times were competitive, and I was much faster than last year. My team and I have more track time at Dillon Motor Speedway than anyone else I’ll compete against this weekend. Winning at Dillon Motor Speedway would definitely give us a lot of momentum heading into the new season.”

On Saturday, March 9, the green flag falls on the South Carolina Clash 150 weekend at 5 p.m. Divisions competing include the PASS Super Late Models, PASS Pro Late Models, Allison Legacy Series, Legends and Bandoleroes.
