Timmonsville, SC(September 11th, 2012) — Mother nature wasn’t a fan of the Florence Motor Speedway on Saturday night as heavy rains forced the cancellation of the days events.  The rains moved in around 5 PM and didn’t move out until early Sunday morning.  With the cancellation of Saturday nights events, that leaves Florence Motor Speedway with just seven weeks of racing before the Fall Classic in November.

This weekend, the Coastal Pee Dee Super Truck Series will make it’s final visit of the year to the four tenths of a mile speedway.  Last time out, the series saw Jimmy Herrington go to victory lane with sixteen trucks on hand for the event.   Also racing this weekend will be the Charger/Street Stocks and Stock 4 Cylinders running thirty lap races for both classes.

The dirt go-kart track outside of turn one will also be racing there normal schedule of events.  Racing action kicks off at 7:30 PM with time trails for the Super Trucks, and heat races for the other divisions.  Admission is just $10 to the grandstands and $20 to get in the pit area.
